How do I get free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)?

You must actively participate in online counseling. You must have a completed quit plan and remain in contact with counselors on the Text Counselor screen. Medical clearance from a physician may also be required.

When will I get my patches (NRT)?

You are required to update counselors about your progress and complete specific treatment exercises before a NRT order can be placed. Once an order is placed, you should receive it in 5-7 business days.

How do I prepare to quit?

Preparing to quit does not mean you should stop all tobacco. You should delay using tobacco, cut back slightly on tobacco and use your quit plan goals to begin breaking your tobacco "habits" before your planned quit date.

I've completed my quit plan. What's next?

The quit plan is complete after you set a quit date. The next step is to begin preparing for your quit date. A counselor will ask you about your preparation to determine if you are eligible for NRT.

What is a quit date?

We consider a quit date as the first day no tobacco is used. If you plan to use NRT, your quit date will be the first day you use one of those products.

What is NRT?

NRT stands for Nicotine Replacement Therapy. Patches, gum, lozenges, nicotine inhalers and nicotine sprays are all considered NRT. Alabama residents may be eligible for patches. Mississippi residents may be eligible for patches or gum.

How is NRT shipped?

UPS delivers to street addresses, and the United States Postal Service delivers to P.O. boxes. We prefer that you provide a street address for shipment so your order can be tracked.

Why isn't someone responding to me?

Online counselors respond to member messages as soon as possible, but in some situations a response may not occur until the next business day. The text counselor feature is not "live chat."

Who posts messages on my profile?

Counselors specially trained in tobacco cessation. Our counselors have over 20 years of experience with helping people quit and stay quit.

Why do you need to contact my doctor?

Some medical conditions and/ or medications might interfere with NRT usage. Your doctor understands your full medical history, and will be asked to make a decision about NRT being right for you.

I forgot my username or password. How can I log in?

You will find a forgot login/password link on the login screen (Forgot your login? Click here). Click this link and provide the email address you used to create your profile. Your username and a NEW password will be emailed to you.

Where is my NRT?

If NRT (patches, gum etc) has been ordered for you, you can track the progress of the order on the NRT Tracking link located on your profile.

Why am I not getting emails from you?

We continue to have a problem with many emails going into user's spam/ junk mail folders. Please mark our email address as "not spam" so you will receive all notification and anniversary emails from us.

Why haven't you called me?

All communication will take place on online using the Text Counselor feature. Check your email (including spam folder) for counselor notification emails.

When is my scheduled follow-up?

If you have a scheduled follow-up date, the date will appear beneath all of the quit plan and treatment session menu items (right side of screen) in white text. The label should read: "Scheduled Follow-up" and a date posted beneath that label.
